Remembering Daniel Anthony Descary 'Dan'

September 26, 1954 – March 12, 2025

Peacefully at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie on Wednesday March 12, 2025 at the age of 70. Dan Descary of Orillia, beloved husband of Lynn Descary (MacGill). Loving father of Shawn (Deanna) Descary and Danny Descary. Loved by his grandchildren Kasandra & Madison Descary. Dear brother of Diane Descary, Ricky (Teresa) Descary, Kathleen ( Rick) Pantridge and Mario (Georgina) Fontana. Loved son of the late Rhoda Fontana. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Dan was a generous, caring, loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. He was an amazing friend to all. Dan was a lover of the outdoors he enjoyed , fishing, skiing, boating, snowmobiling, jet skiing and golfing. Dan started his sales career at the age of 18 from the trunk of his car and worked his way to become President of Sunstar America’s. His children joked he was the toothbrush king of Chicago. He will be missed across the globe by his Canadian, American , Switzerland & Japanese colleagues.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes – L. Doolittle Chapel 54 Coldwater St. E Orillia (705)326-3595.
