Remembering Hazel Margaret Ruegg (nee Fitzpatrick) 'Pat'

Sadly we announce the departure of our mom on February 11, 2025 in her 100th year. Pat was pre-deceased by her husband of 75 years, Paul on April 2, 2023. Mom was the daughter of William and Doris Fitzpatrick and daughter-in-law of John and Luella Ruegg, all of Ridgeway, Ontario.

Pat and Paul lived in Orillia, Coldwater and Barrie for most of their lives spending summers and a good part of retirement on Copp Bay on the Severn River. Mom was an avid bridge player and member of the Orillia Curling Club in the 1950’s and 60’s.

She is survived by her two sons, Rick (Debbie) of Orillia and David (Mandy) of Innisfil. She leaves behind grandchildren Jennifer and Scott Ruegg; and Christopher and Heather Lumsden-Ruegg and as well as four step grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and two step-great grandchildren.

Celebrations of their lives will take place in the spring with interment to follow at the Bertie Brethren in Christ Cemetery in Fort Erie.
