Remembering Ruth Marie McHugh

Ruth Marie McHugh, in her 90th year, passed away peacefully on January 8th, 2025.

Beloved wife of the late Paul Joseph McHugh of Warminster.

Cherished daughter of the late Gordon and Caramel Swaile of Orillia.

Dear sister to the late Frank Swaile (Joy) of Duncan B.C., the late Marjorie Whitney of Orillia and Don Swaile (Diane) of Winnipeg.

Keeper of memories to Kathy, Joe (Laurie), Kimberley and Tracey.

Ruth will be missed by her grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Thank-you to Jackie, Katherine and Melissa and the rest of the staff at Champlain Manor for their loving care of Ruth.

A very grateful thank-you to Dr. David Collins for his excellent and personal care of Ruth over several decades.

Thank-you to the emergency room staff at Soldiers Memorial Hospital on January 7th and 8th for their outstanding and compassionate care of Ruth.

A private family service is be held in the spring.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Doolittle Carson Funeral Home Orillia 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595.

In lieu of flowers, as a devoted animal lover, Ruth’s family would appreciate a donation to the OSPC.
