February 5, 1964 – November 24, 2024
Jeff’s sudden but peaceful death occurred from heart failure at his home in Orillia, leaving his devastated parents, Harvey and Betty, and brother Greg to mourn his loss. He was predeceased by his wife Myrna. Jeff will be remembered by his son Jordan, Aunts, Uncles and cousins as well as many loving friends in Orillia, Gravenhurst and other communities across Ontario.
In his youth, he was an avid hockey and lacrosse player and always a diehard Maple Leafs fan, still waiting for their Stanley Cup win …. Someday. Always dabbling in cartooning, as a fan of Gary Larson’s “Far Side” iconic art, Jeff created his own collection of Satirical themed work, even during the dark days that blurred his mind.
Jeff’s passion for animals would inevitably lead to rescuing stray cats to nurture back to health ensuring their forever devotion. That passion extended to struggling souls creating life-long bonds.
Prior to his diagnosis and eventual treatment for bi-polar illness, life sometimes took him down strange and painful paths but he always found his way back to safety at home. Eventually he settled in Orillia, a city he grew to love and stayed for 25 years, finding peace and contentment there.
In compliance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and instead of a funeral or celebration, his request was to be remembered when you’re together to share memories and laughter as they would have during his life. If desired, a memorial contribution to a homeless charity, OSPCA or to another of your choice.
Arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes – L. Doolittle Chapel 54 Coldwater St. E Orillia (705)326-3595.

Nov 27, 2024There are no words to express the sadness that Derek, Jarett and I feel in learning of our cousin Jeff's passing this week. There is no greater pain than that felt by parents when their child is lost. The sadness that Greg feels at the passing of his brother must truly be one of profound sorrow. Know that each of you are in our thoughts; may you find comfort in the support and love of family and from each other. Love, Jarett, Derek, and Kevin
