Went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday November 12, 2024 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of Duncan MacDonald Sr. Loving mother of Duncan (Sheila), Terry Anne (Robert), Daniel (Christine) and Heather (Robert predeceased). Cherished grandmother to Ashlee (Frank), Shaun (Tara), Erin (Matthew), Lucas (Amber), Nicholas, Cameron (Kelly), Christopher, Travis (Shawna), Bradey (Chantel), Hayden (Zoe), Magnus and Brahms. Will be sadly missed by 14 great grandchildren. Predeceased by 1 brother and 2 sisters. Remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Marlene graduated from Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital’s School of Nursing in 1957. She devoted her nursing career of 42 years to SMH and was a highly respected healthcare provider. In her last years at the hospital, she was an integral part of SMH’s Oncology Department, with Dr. Devon Bhatt. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at Atherley Cemetery. If desired memorial donations to the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. Some of our memories was that she was an amazing Hostess whenever we came over. A talented Cook, and a Musician!
