Shirley passed peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday Oct 12, 2024 in her 90th year.
Shirley, pre-deceased by her loving husband Ken and will be dearly missed by her sons, Wayne and Gary (Korine). Shirley leaves her loving sister Carol and nieces Tracey (John), Toni (Garry) and Leanne. Loving grandmother to Clayton, Samantha (Adam), Mackenzie (Megan), Max (Katie) and Dexter (Raelene). Special great-grandmother to Jax.
Shirley loved nothing more than traveling to watch and cheer on her boys in all of their sports endeavours. And there were many. They were the light of her life, always and forever.
Shirley loved her community and was often found at the club house playing any and all kinds of card games. Years ago; golf, her poker and euchre groups were always enjoyed with Ken and friends.
Shirley will be deeply missed be her family and all that knew her. She was a true gem, full of love and compassion for everyone.
Our heartfelt thanks to Dr Orava and the amazing team at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie. You made her last days feel so cared for.
As per Shirleys wishes, cremation has taken place, and the family will gather to honour her.
If desired, a memorial donation in her honour to Hospice Simcoe would be lovely and greatly appreciated by the family.
