Remembering Linda Georgina Wood (nee Douglass)

After a brief illness, Linda Georgina (Douglass) passed away peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on October 1, 2024 in her 74th year. Her husband Ron Wood predeceased her. Beloved sister of Don Douglas of Washago and Marie (Ted) Woodman of Victoria Harbour. She was predeceased by her older brothers Ross and Gerald. Linda was the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. For over 30 years, Linda worked at the Coldwater Sink Factory. She was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Cremation has taken place. Linda’s Celebration of Life will occur at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #34, 215 Mississaga St. E., Orillia on Saturday October 26, 2024 at 2 P.M. A reception will follow. A private family interment will take place at the Hobart Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Orillia Humane Society, Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society or the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
