Remembering Joanne Alice Webster (nee Willemsma)

(Orillia-area elementary school teacher at Hillcrest and Ardtrea Schools, Member of St. James Anglican Church Choir, formerly of Willowdale) Passed peacefully at home with her family by her side after a lengthy battle with cancer on Wednesday February 12th in her 54th year. Joanne, loving wife to Mark, will be sadly missed by their children Luke and Daniel, her sister Linda Doolan, mother Alice Datema, and numerous nieces, nephews, and family friends. Daughter of Ruurd Willemsma (predeceased), and sister of Elly Delorme (predeceased). The family will receive friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Sunday February 16, 2014 from 2–4 & 7–9 P.M. Funeral services will be held at St. James’ Anglican Church (at the corner of Peter St. and Coldwater Rd.) on Monday February 17, 2014 at 11 o’clock. Interment to take place in the spring at St. Andrew’s St. James’ Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Gilda’s Club in Barrie, the Canadian Cancer Society, or to Royal Victoria Hospital Cancer Care Centre, Barrie.
