Remembering Gene Ann Wood

WOOD (/MUIR), Gene Ann, RN PHN July 1, 1937 – July 5, 2018. Deaconess, Church Of The Good Shepherd. The former Mrs. Gene Ann MUIR was very close to her son, Alan Muir. She greatly loved her grandchildren, Sarah (Chris) Daperis, Beth (Mike) Ventresca, and Stephen Muir; and all her great-grandchildren. She was a nurse at Branson Hospital in North York; and a Public Health Nurse in Muskoka District, Simcoe County (and Rama First Nation), and Hastings County. We were matchmade (and later married) by Pastor Art (and Pearl) LENTZ; and knew that same day, that God had called us to serve Him together. We did most things as a team, working in the Maynooth-Madawaska and Guthrie-Hawkestone Pastoral Charges, and the C.G.S. A strong member of the Orillia And District Association of Churches, the Orillia Fellowship Of Evangelical Ministers, and the Christian Heritage Party; great supporter of Child Evangelism Fellowship, Wycliffe Bible Translators, and Bethel House India.
