Remembering Byron Stuart Harrison

Died suddenly at home in Orillia on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Byron was born on January 26th, 1987 in Orillia, Ontario and was a resident here for the past four years. He worked at Zehrs in the seafood department, as well as being active in the Orillia art, theatre, and music communities. He is survived by his father, Dr. Lloyd Harrison; his brothers, Joel and Myles Harrison; and his sister, Bethany Harrison. He is predeceased by his mother, Phyllis Harrison. Byron Graduated from ODCVI high school in 2005, and went on to receive his Bachelor of Music degree from MacMaster University. As talented musician and artist, Byron was an aspiring creative mind. In addition to his visionary side, Byron will be remembered for his enthusiasm, intelligence and incredible wit. Visitations will be held at the Carson Funeral Home on Sunday Oct 29th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral will be on Monday Oct 30th at 11am, with visitation and viewing at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations can be made to OSMH Mental Health Suicide Prevention Counselling or to Georgian College Barrie Campus Student Suicide Prevention Counselling. His legacy will remain through his family, friends, artwork and many contributions to the community. He has left us with many loving memories, and will be forever missed.
