Passed peacefully at St. Michaels Hospital in Toronto on October 17, 2017 in his 77th year. Earl, loving husband to Trudy, will be sadly missed by his children Julianna (Donald) Williams, Wendy (Ian) Barkhouse, Tammy (Daryl Sallows) Crawford, Tanner Crawford, and Rhonda Harlow-Erskin, and by his grandchildren Elsie, Lidia, Zachary, Alexander and a baby boy on the way, Nolan, Ava, Thomas, and Jayce. Earl was a long time Press Man with the Toronto Star. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Penetanguishene on Friday October 27, 2017 at 1pm. Interment at Union Cemetery in Victoria Harbour. If desired memorial donations may be made to the Hillcrest Dog Haven (for rescue dogs) or St. Michaels Hospital Palliative Care Unit and will be accepted by the Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551.
