Passed peacefully at Trillium Manor in Orillia on Sunday April 9, 2017 in her 78th year. Shirley, loving wife to James Nelson, will be sadly missed by her daughters Karen (Joe Praiz) Mathers, SueAnn Smith, Sherry Donnelly, Janice Menhem, and Patricia (Tim) Obee, by her brother James (Carol) Reid, by her sister Judy Saunders (Predeceased Doug), and by her 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. A special thank you to Dr. Kennedy, Dr. Catford and the amazing care team at Trillium Manor. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Trillium Manor, 12 Grace Ave., Orillia, on Saturday June 10, 2017 from 2-4 P.M. If desired memorial donations may be made to the trillium Manor Palliative Care unit and will be accepted by the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595.
