Passed away peacefully at the age of 76 at Georgian Bay General Hospital on Thursday February 9, 2017 with her family by her side. Loving wife of Doug. Beloved mother of Steven (Cathy), Rick (Tonya Matwee), and David. Cherished grandmother of Corey, Alex, Trevor, Zacharie, and Xavier. Helen will be sadly missed by her sister Joanne Saunders (Allen Baldwin). The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Georgian Bay General Hospital for the excellent and compassionate care that they gave to Helen in her final days.
Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at St. Paul’s United Church 308 King Street, Midland on Saturday February 25, 2017. Visitation 1:00pm, and Memorial service at 2:00pm. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551.
