Remembering Ronald Walter McRae

Passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia on Tuesday September 6, 2016 in his 70th year. Ron, loving husband for 50 years to Linda, will be sadly missed by his daughters Christine (Cris) Vollick, Dawn (Mark) Smith, and Veronica (predeceased Kevin) Cleaveley. Ron will be cherished by his grandchildren Stephanie (Joe White) Leatherdale, Ali (Brandon Taylor) Leatherdale, Mamie (Tom Breckles) Smith, Eli Leatherdale, Ronnie Smith, Memphis Smith, Gracelyn Cleaveley, and Maddie Cleaveley, and by his great granddaughter Trinity White, and soon to come great grandson Bud Breckles. Ron will be missed by his mother Bernice McRae (Predeceased by his fatherWalter), brother Don McRae and by his sisters Judy-Lynn (Jack) Naulls and Helen (Bob) Poff, and by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and by his sisters in law Darlene (Kathy) Martin, Judy McRae, and by his brothers in law Jack Martin, Frank (Barb Barrett) Martin, and predeceased by Ruth (Rick) Wallis, Phil Martin, and Clyde Martin. Ron Worked for 40 years with Hydro One and was well loved and respected by all of his coworkers. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Thursday September 8, 2016 from 2 -5 & 6 – 9 p.m.. Visitation will take place at First Baptist Church, 265 Coldwater Road W, Orillia, ON, on Friday September 9, 2016 from 10 am until time of service at 11 o’clock. Interment at Bolsover Cemetery. If desired memorial donations may be made to the Orillia Soldier Memorial Hospital Foundation Respiratory Department or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
