Remembering David Stanton

(Retired Air Canada Captain) Died peacefully at home surrounded by loving family members on June 25, 2015. He is survived by his wife Ann (nee Page), younger sisters Sylvia (Bob Maconachie) and Sherry (Terry Knappett), three sons Steven Stanton (Wendy), Andrew Stanton (Angela) and Paul Stanton (Karen), seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. David served 27 years with Air Canada until his retirement, after which he built his own house on the shore of Sparrow Lake near Port Stanton, where he remained active in the local Anglican Church of the Good Samaritan, and founded the Sparrow Lake Historical Society. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Monday June 29, 2015 from 6-8 P.M. A Memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be held in the chapel on Tuesday afternoon June 30, 2015 at 3 o’clock. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
